Friday mysore races

Fight between Parvathi Byramji trained African gold & Irfan ghatala trained Mandarino for The H H Sri Krishna Raja wadayar trophy the feature event of the Mysore races to be held on Friday

1 race:1. Nimble spirit

2 race: 5.Midnight blue, 7.Splendid dream,  9.Natural look

Well bred Midnight blue after running 3rd at Bangalore last time has come into contention to clear it's maiden rank. Also well bred first timer Splendid dream is prepared well may pose a threat to the first named.

3 race:2.Power of gold, 3.Zorawar

After disappointed two performances at Bangalore, Power of gold is well prepared and first time running into open class 4 to clear it's maiden rank.

4 race:12. Unforgettable star, 5.Aquatic, 2.Elfin knight, 6.Mind games, Win field

Tough to pick the winner from the above. I personally prefer Unforgettable star a 3y old young in the field first time running into open class 3, though tough in this class, has a chance to upset others. Elgin knight is at disadvantageous draw may be bit difficult here

5 race:3. Mandarino, 1.African gold, 5. Global influence

Some thing is brewing in my mind Mandarino may strike it rich provided African gold fails

6 race:3.Don Carlos, 5.Mazal tov

Tough fight between two is expected former having the edge to win

7 race:8.One Nation, 12.Always for you

(3-2)Power of gold is for the day

  1. Wasn't it frustrating when the jockey intentionally slowed down the horse right at the post? P. Trevor looked crestfallen, watching number 11 come from behind to snatch the win. I'm wondering, is this kind of finish sometimes referred to as a 'made-up' race, or was it just a thrilling upset?

  2. Already mentioned that it is bit difficult for elfin knight to win as it is coming from disadvantageous outer draw

  3. Trevor is bookies favoured jockey, he is very tactful rider that from any where he can bring the horse to win and at the same time he know very well how to make the horse loose, keep this in mind and better judge before while betting on Trevor saddled horses
